of things today. eight months ago, in the state of the union speech, obama issued an appeal to congress to spend more federal money on construction projects that would generate jobs. what he said was, take the money we are no longer spending at war. use half of the to pay down our debt. use the rest to do some nation building right here at home. we pointed out in a fact check that night the fallacy of that idea. the idea that some kind of budget surplus is going to be created when you stop the wars is fiscal fiction. those wars have been primarily financed by borrowing. if you stop the wars, you do not have new money, you just have less debt being added. it does not treat a pool of ready cash. on top of that, the supposed savings of this supposed peace dividend is inflated because it is based on spending numbers that are extrapolated into the future that would come from the height of the intensity of the war and they do not follow the downward trend that it has been in reality. we pointed all that out in a fact check on a state of the union night. how does the administration react? thre

for sending mitt romney to the white house and barack obama back to chicago. [applause] it is so great to be back here. this is a beautiful place and a beautiful state. i brought my beautiful wife with me as well. [applause] she is here with my sister and brother-in-law. they live right over the border in boston. i do not know if that is a good or bad thing to everybody here. i'm just kidding. my sister lives in boston. she works for dunkin brands. and that is good coffee, isn't it? this man knows how to balance a budget, cut spending, it knows fiscal responsibility. he is one of the leaders helping us to do that. that is charlie bass as well. let's give them a round of applause. [applause] friends, we have a choice to make. this is not your ordinary election. we are not just deciding who will be the next president for four years. we are deciding what kind of country we will have and what kind of people we will be for a generation. this is a high-stakes election. if we have four more years like the last four years, we continue stagnation. the choice is very clear. do we want a dynamic,

economy that fosters dependency? that is not who we are. in the live free or die state, we want to live free and prosper. [applause] when president obama came into office, he inherited a tough situation. there are no two boys about it. the problem is, the obama economic agenda failed -- there are no two ways about it. it failed because it was bad. he came into office with one party rule. host: paul ryan and new hampshire. our third party is still relevant? caller: good morning. relevant not as parties but in terms of spoilers. they have been relevant with mr. ross perot. i like him. i think he could have done wonderfully if he stayed within the republican party. i google this. we have had 132 third party presidential candidates going back to 1832 when it was the anti mason party or something like that. none of them have garnered much of the vote. there are mostly french candidates. i do not said derogatory. they do not have a lot of base. it is not that they are not popular because they get no media, they get no media because they are not popular. even ron paul and even ross perot. the

] we also believe, and in the live free or die state, we know we want to be free to choose our own medical care, and in order to do that, we have to repeal and replace obama care. the choice is clear. we can either stick with the failed policies of the last four years for the next four years, which gives us a stagnant economy and fosters government dependency, or we can fix these problems, bring the leadership that we are sorely lacking, and that have dynamic growing economy that produces opportunity, upward mobility, self-sufficiency, and economic growth. higher take-home pay, a stronger middle class. getting people out of poverty, bk to the middle class, and growing economic security. this is do-able. this is right in front of us. we can do this. you know, this election is not just about these material issues. this election is about the fiber of our society. this election is about the kind of people we are going to be, the kind of country we're going to have. this country is an idea. that's something we can never forget. it is not new hampshire to california or florida to wiscons

of state of the art technology and research while maintaining a moratorium on nuclear testing. thomas commented on the anniversary this past weekend. he said in april 2009 president obama shared his vision of a world without nuclear weapons. as we work toward that goal, we have the world's leading scientific facilities, the world's fastest computers, and the world's brightest minds working to insure we never again have to perform nuclear explosive testing in the united states. the effort that he describes helps maintain an effective nuclear stockpile in the absence of underground nuclear testing. they include the stockpile stewardship program run by the national nuclear security administration which maintains the continued safety and reliability of the nation's nuclear-weapons in the absence of nuclear explosive testing. a key goal is to increase scientific understanding of how nuclear devices perform as well as the behavior of the weapons materials to ensure a safe and effective nuclear deterrent. second is the life extension program. the extent the service life of the current weapon
